Job Description:
Exceedis are a leading supplier of IT Managed Services and Cyber Security Solutions to Customers in Ireland and the EU. Our head offices are located in Co Kildare. We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic IT Support Engineer in our Celbridge branch.
In this exciting and challenging role you will join an experienced results driven team supporting some of Ireland’s fastest growing companies.
What to expect in the role?
This person will be responsible for 1st to 2nd level support of IT issues from clients. You will also liaise with other internal and external suppliers to address and resolve issues in a timely manner. There will be an element of offsite work also where you will be installing PC’s for example on customer sites.

Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day IT support of our clients IT infrastructure (Typical Daily IT Issues, password resets, printer issues, PC performance issues)
- Monitor and quickly respond to incoming support requests by phone or email
- Take ownership and monitoring of clients backups and proactive health of their systems
- Clearly communicate issue resolution process to customer or end user including next steps to be taken, time frame, and ownership of issue.
- Deliver outstanding customer service standards by answering all calls promptly, remaining courteous and professional always
- Provide excellent customer technical support, you will strive for first call resolution with each case.
- Maintain a positive relationship with clients by ensuring that expectations are met or exceeded.
- Complete offsite project tasks e.g PC installs, site IT Audits and going to site to troubleshoot issues (you will be supported remotely by level 3 engineers)
- Any other duties deemed required as part of the day-to-day role
Requirements:
- 1 year or more in a similar role is essential with a similar IT Managed Services company
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised
- Laptop, desktop, and mobile hardware support
- Windows 11 Support
- Microsoft Office 365\Email\Onedrive
- Fundamentals of networking
- A strong focus on continuous improvements and personal development
- Good time management and self-motivation skills
- A keen interest and passion for technology and its application in a business environment
- Knowledge of Windows Servers.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration skills.
- Knowledge of network patching, switches and wireless installations.
- Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to support and communicate with users on all levels.
- Sound troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Self-starter who uses own initiative.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a larger team.
- Has a pleasant, patient, and friendly attitude.
- Desired:
- Ability to take ownership, organise workload and change priorities quickly.
- Working hours: required to cover the hours from 8:30 – 17:30 Mon-Fri.
